Job Summary

The Assistant Finance Manager supports the Finance Manager in overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, maintaining internal controls, and driving financial performance. This role acts as a bridge between daily accounting activities and strategic financial planning.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Support the development and tracking of annual budgets and financial plans.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting functions (AP, AR, GL, payroll coordination).
  • Assist with cash flow management and working capital optimization.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
  • Identify financial risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.
  • Supervise and guide junior finance and accounting staff.
  • Improve financial processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy.

Job Requirements
Education & Qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or CFA is a strong advantage.
Experience
  • 3–6 years of experience in finance or accounting roles.
  • At least 1–2 years in a supervisory or senior accounting position.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP).
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience with accounting software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
  • Understanding of tax regulations and compliance.
Soft Skills
  • Analytical thinking with strong attention to detail.
  • Solid communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Leadership mindset with team coordination ability.
  • High integrity and professionalism.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Accuracy and timeliness of financial reports.
  • Budget variance control.
  • Audit findings.
  • Cash flow stability.
  • Process improvement initiatives delivered.
